Feedback from the US Army

ALCON, The Training Development staff at the School of Information Technology, Ft. Gordon, GA happened upon the TaskArchitect software by word of mouth.We are currently performing a Task Analysis on three separate Military occupational specialty courses and one functional.

We have found that the software simplifies the analysis process in that it formats a task analysis and expedites the process. The cost effectiveness is evident in the MY arena. The Army DOW authorizes in excess of 6 months to conduct a task analysis. Granted I have a full staff, but we will be able to complete the task analysis portion of the Systems Approach to Training process in record time. The time it takes with an Subject Matter Export and Training Design person working directly with the software is shortened at least 50%. The Training Designer and Subject Matter Export have immediate visibility on the analysis and can identify discrepancies/deficiencies/shortcomings.

The software is extremely user friendly. The ability to view the analysis in different formats is an outstanding feature. The user manual provided with the product is another added feature. It’s extremely user friendly and to the point.

The exportability of task analyses into Excel or Word is rather simple. We are able to export into a Word document which is easier for the non-training development personnel to read and follow. This expedites the approval process. Additionally, we’re able to cut and paste much easier when building tasks into Army Systems Approach to Training.

My staff and I are extremely satisfied with this product. I have recently purchase 20 copies to accommodate my entire staff and would highly recommend this software to all training development personnel.
