TaskArchitect 3 - What's new in v3Task analysis has evolved. TaskArchitect 1 made it easy to rapidly enter, display and report on a task analysis. TaskArchitect 2 extended the ease of capturing and sharing task analyses and added the dimension of time - Timelines show how tasks are related in sequence. TaskArchitect 3 adds the dimension of space - now you can use a picture to show where tasks are conducted in the workplace, how workers move between tasks and display information about tasks at each location. Make your task analysis diagrams really worth a thousand words. TaskArchitect 3 is even easier to use, with a re-designed Timelines interface, easier printing of Tabular View and easier import/export for round-tripping of data. We've caught up with Microsoft as well - TaskArchitect is now Windows 7 compatible and 64 bit compatible. Details of our upgrade policy are provided on our updates page. Location MapThe ability to show where tasks are carried out in the workplace and how workers move between them will bring your task analysis to life. Whether you need to show movement around a factory, interactions on a screen or button presses on a product the diagrams will help communicate key information such as frequency and proportion of work at a particular area, flow between work locations and changes to these as work places are re-arranged. Any numeric information about a task can be displayed on a map of the workplace allowing the analyst the flexibility to decide what they need to communicate to their audience..
New Timelines InterfaceWe've simplified the timeline interface and added features to make it easier to display and print your results.
Easier printing of Tabular ViewPrinting is now easier in Tabular View. Until now users have had to export a report of the tabular view in order to customise how much space on the page is dedicated to the names of tasks and how much is used for printing information about the tasks. The Print command set a fixed limit of one half of the page to be used for task names. Now, Tabular View Page Layout provides additional means of customising the printout. Simply select which columns should be printed adjacent to the task names and then use the slider in Page Layout to adjust how much space is allocated to the names of tasks. Easy.
Easier import and export for sharing of dataThe re-designed import feature allows the quick matching of your columns of data to the data already defined in TaskArchitect. In many cases most items will be automatically matched for you. And with formatting removed in the exported TaskArchitect files it's now easier to round trip data - from TaskArchitect to Excel then back to TaskArchitect again.
Windows 7 and 64 bit compatibleNow you can use TaskArchitect on the latest computing platforms. Compatibility with Windows 7 and 64 bit operating systems means TaskArchitect is ready to deploy on the latest laptop and desktop computers.
New iconsWe've extended the range of icons provided for flagging properties in the Tabular View. Let us know if you need more.
